I bet this is how the Seychelles smell!

Well, of you like coconut, monoï oil and pina colada scents, then this will smell like paradise for you. It does, for me!
I say in the title that this must be how the Seychelles smell. And I say so because I can imagine myself on a sunny beach, with white sand and a calm turquoise-blue sea.
I can imagine a white hammock under a sunshade, surrounded by vigourous shiny palm trees. I can imagine on a fuchsia bikini and a pina colada on my left hand (Iphone on the right hand to tweet about it all).
Yes, all of this comes to my mind when I put on Les Polysianes sunscreen.
I was looking forward to buying this because I had read really good opinions. I found it quite affordable (11€ for 125ml), considering that most of the other sun screens I had in mind were around 20€.
It is a white lotion in spray form. 30SPF, which is great for me as the summer has just begun and I am pale as hell.

It absorbs fast and easily and smells wonderfully as I have already mentioned. I have noticed it gives the skin a subtle glow, like a glowing halo, and it moisturizes a lot.

The only downside: it is a bit sticky, which can be a pain in the neck if it gets windy on the beach...

If you like monoï oil scent, give it a go!

Disclaimer: I bought this with my own money. No company contacted me for reviewing purposes. This is my honest opinion.

Princess Rules NOTD

This is a lovely combination for nails. I know, the picture sucks! But anyway, you will have to trust my description.

This is a baby pink with tiny silver shimmer and lots of shine.

What did I use?

- 2 coats of OPI Bubble Bath

A really pale pink shade that barely shows off on my nails :( It is really really liquid.

- 1 coat Essence Princess Rules

The star of this combo. This was my first purchase from this brand and I am really satisfied with it. It is a princess pink with sirvel sparkles. Beautiful!

I am in love with this combo!

Ben Nye Special Concealer

This was a little break from my spending ban, which I am completing religiously.
But I did need a new concealer since I finished my beloved Unifiance Touch Pro concealer from La Roche Posay.
I decided to try the green concealer from the famous professional makeup brand Ben Nye.
I have been using it for a couple of days and I must say it is really good. I am getting used to the greenish shade, which you must blend in really well to get an even finish. Besides, I have realised that the foundation applied afterwards must be medium to high coverage since with lighter shades, the green halo can be noticed.
  • What for? Scars, discolorations, blemishes, redness, imperfections in general.
  • How to? With your finger, a lip brush or a cotton stick. Tap the product lightly onto the area. Then blend in.
Below you can see how it covers perfectly the brown spot on my hand.

MAC Fix+ vs Thermal Spring Water

This is a blog entry especially written for Lydia who asked me about the differences between MAC Fix+ and Thermal Spring Water and whether the latter could replace the MAC product.

- MAC Fix+ Spray is "a soothing moisture mist that refreshes your skin and sets makeup".
According to this definition, it could be perfectly be replaced by Thermal Spring Water.

But, let's have a look at the ingredients of Fix+:

Spring water

Glycerin, humectant ingredient, moisturizer

Cucumber extract, anti-inflamatory, anti-bacterian

Chamomille, calming and relaxing

Green Tea, antioxidant

Vitamin E derivative, healing

Caffeine, awakening

Polymers, Castor Oil and Fragance

As for the ingredients of La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water we find,

Water & Nitrogen

So, to sum up, Thermal Spring Water will refresh your skin, moisturize you and also help set makeup but it cannot compete against the powerful misture of ingredients of MAC Fix+ Spray, which is definitely a must-have skincare product.

Finished Products!

Long time no see!
I am quite busy with work and university so you may notice a delay in the updating of this blog... I will be free from university stuff on June 9th, and free from work on the 12th so freedom is near!
